You ask Faraday if she knows how long she's been like this.

"I don't, really," she replies. "It feels like everyone left yesterday... but it also feels a bit like I've been here forever."

You inform her that it's been roughly 100 years since Zone Fifty shut down.

"...Oh. Hmm."

You ask Faraday if she's just limited to this bunker, or if she knows how far she's spread.

"I think so, yes," says Faraday. "I think I'm just here... in some rooms more than others."

You ask if there's anything you could tell Tesla to reassure her--she doesn't exactly believe you when you say Faraday's okay.

"I... I don't rightly know. I'm sorry! I don't want her to be sad."

You contact Fuse, and ask him about this monitor. You have to sync, briefly, and cleantex a little to feed him a good idea of what the inside looked like... but you want to determine if there's something special about the screen.

"There's definitely something," he replies. "I'm not even sure what some of those parts do. Aside from all the power filters and surge protection, it looks like a lot of it's just... weird... receiver parts. We could try to build another one, but it might be hard without taking that one apart. I'm basically guessing, but... it looks like the dongle on the top helps make sure any possessions go where they're supposed to, instead of just spreading through the whole device. Like, if I brought a cell phone in, Faraday might not make it to the screen and the speakers--she might end up trying to talk out of the circuit board or listen through the battery on accident, and wreck the whole thing without trying. ...Probably. I dunno. Ghost tech is weird."

we could go ask tesla if she wants to come out for a minute and come talk to faraday. we'd have to borrow caius or michelle, but i'm sure they won't mind. tell her she can bring her bear or a blanket if she wants (or both), that might make her more amicable to the idea of not being in her room if just coming to talk to faraday doesn't.

eta: this does sound a lot like when we were the blood for too long and had to squeeze our way back down into the body. unfortunately, faraday doesn't have a body to focus on... hm. i'm not sure if a doll or something could work, she just might end up possessing the doll but, outside of it, still being "too big" as she said. maybe worth a try?

I second this idea

I third it, but make sure she knows that's it's through a screen she can control.

Fourthing this entire chain (including the "let her know it's a screen" bit).

Good idea! Also, we should study the software.

There isn't really anything here not to fifth. I would like to officially suggest the pillow/blanket fort idea mentioned in the discord though

I wonder if the tech involved is related to the spell we found earlier.
Mechanizing the process would be an impressive feat in and of itself, but the method might have applications elsewhere.
Assuming there is a relation, of course.

Like has been discussed earlier, if Faraday is just in this bunker, we could fill a room or a number of rooms with blood mist and try to sync to her. Jane supposedly has the know how to get out of Faraday's situation.

I think we know how to escape because of when we were the blood. It took us some time, but we managed to get back to being ourselves, despite the fact we were, in a sense, something bigger than ourselves.

Let Faraday know there's nothing to be sorry about, it's not her fault.

We could also hook up two cans with some string and see if we can get Tesla and Faraday talking over that. A bit low tech to be sure and we might have to manage some corners / turns carefully to keep the string taut, but I'm sure we can figure something out. Maybe blood soaked string to keep it suspended and taut?
