You poke at the pile of gore with your scalpels. Some of it's still twitching and squirming, but it's no longer a threat. You don't really see anything worth taking off of it.

You shine your flashlight outside into the hall. No noises, no signs of anything unusual. It looks like the coast is clear.

You think you can still save Dr. Finch, but it won't be easy. Further down the hall from the operating room should be a closet full of medical equipment not running on the hospital's OS, assuming it wasn't moved or thrown away in the month you were dead. With the CyberBrain being actively malicious, most of the tools you'd normally need won't be usable...

And also, you're not a doctor. Or a surgeon. You're a nurse.

You've done plenty of studying, you think you can handle it in theory, but this will be your first real attempt at anything on this scale, medically speaking, and with a massive handicap.

Michelle hoists Dr. Finch onto her shoulder, struggling for a moment but finally getting a grip on her gun with one hand. "What's the plan, boss?"

We need to get to the operating room. Vent there is... ah, impassible, but with Michelle, we should be able to deal with the fleshwall. Tell Michelle about the operating room and the supplies, as well as the obstacles. And remind her there may be more. (Also look out for the hand.)
