You help clean Ms. Voclain up a bit, and you give her a very basic look over for injuries. Even at a glance, you... start to figure out what Dr. Finch was talking about. Her joints, the proportions of her bones, the way everything's put together is slightly... off. She has a slight sprain in the knee and ankle of one leg, just from the activities of tonight--you numb the nerves around those areas and gently patch up the ligaments.

Even without delving too deep, you can tell that it's as feared: her body's not really made to function, not in any long term sense. It's for show, and as a scientific stepping stone to engineer women more visually similar to your mother. She was a stage in a process--too far in the line to be a healthy human being, but not far enough to meet Thale's satisfaction.

You offer her one of Michelle or Caius's spare shirts to sleep in, and a bed. Ms. Voclain remains mostly silent.

After she's gone to bed--and you've mentally aided her attempts to sleep--you head back to the lab.

You walk in partway through Fuse's story. "Hope thinks Thale is an angel or something. Like, he's a harbinger of the end times, an agent of God."

You level Fuse, who turns to see you. "Thanks," he says. "I... need it. Seriously, I thought the anxiety was gonna kill me before anything else got to. Hope's calling himself the right hand of the agent of the Lord and shit. Him, the geezer, and the round guy were talking about mounting an offensive on Carpenter to take him out of the game, which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. None of them have an army, or robots, or monsters, they're just three rich assholes. The big dude's got a big gun, granted, but they're still delusional."

"Maybe they'll go for it," Michelle says. "Maybe Carpenter'll waste 'em and we can call it good."

Fuse shakes his head. "It'd be nice, but that's what Hope was calling Thale about--wanted his approval. I'm sure Thale will end up talking him out of it, unless Thale's already tired of him. The two deacons are just as out of touch. Gargan barely knows where he is half the time, and the other guy--Hodges, I think? Dude's full of hate, talks constant smack about women, people on the lower tiers, everybody. It was like he physically couldn't stop himself, he injected his hatred into every conversation. Between the three of them, I don't know how they accomplish anything."

"Money," Dr. Finch replies simply. "You saw the size of his church, yes? It's packed, full, three times a week. In addition, Brother Hope has a television deal arranged with Theodore Reigns. He--and his associates--have a comical amount of funding at their disposal."

"When you got that kinda money," Michelle adds, "you ain't gotta be smart."

All the talk of money reminds you to contact Macland Row.

You let Macland know that you'll need storage places outside the city, but not too close. You also suggest that his hauling crews check for tracking devices before they reach their destinations.

"No problemo," replies Mac.

You also thank him for everything he's doing.

"Pshhh," he scoffs. "This is me looking out for my ass. Thale'll come looking for me eventually, and if he keeps building power like he has been... well, he'll find me. That's just a matter of time. Patton's not human anymore. The guy's seriously unhinged. I was in it for the money, and I thought Patton was too, but he's not. Money doesn't mean jack to him. I don't know WHAT he wants, I just know he shouldn't get it." Macland pauses, collecting his thoughts. "...I don't wanna live in a world ran by Patton Thale. I mean, I won't get to 'cuz he'll kill me first but you know what I mean. The world sucks but I like it the way it is. The sooner you off that freak show, the sooner I can go back to counting stacks in my big ass house. Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta call those shipping guys."

Ask Fuse what exactly Lydia did to try and stop Hope from calling, and maybe also apologize for not giving him the level effect while he was still texting us. Also maybe ask how it even got to him and Lydia vent hermeting in Hope's church.

Fuse's been synced a lot, clearly inherited our long vent hermit tradition.

He climbed through the vents at Howler's place before he ever met us.

We should take a peek through our camera while it's still there, see what's going on in the warehouse now. We'll need to break it eventually (assuming we can do that with the remaining blood) but might as well take the opportunity to watch the folks there freak out while we can :P

We should strategize with Dr. Finch about what to do with Ms. Voclain tomorrow; seeing as how we're always the last to wake up. Do we want to coordinate his work with the bioprinter and our blood abilities or does he think he can handle replacing the arm on his own?
The rest of her we can do bit-by-bit. It'll be good practice, seeing as how some of our long-term goals include extending the life of someone with a 10-year life span about 5 times that. As such we should make it clear Ms. Voclain is never a burden. She's helping us get better at something we'll need to get better at anyway (and will help us in dealing with Thale to put a spin on it that'll make her happy).

Otherwise may want to just call it a night. We can ask Ms. Voclain some questions after breakfast tomorrow. I'd like to know if she knows anything about the bioprinters being modified throughout the city. If the tampering can be traced back to Thale, this might be our in for getting the feds on Thale's case. We could have Jury check out Cam's hospital bioprinter (tell her Michelle sent Jury if needed) for evidence. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Would it be possible to bioprint an entire body for Ms. Voclain? If she's in such poor shape, they should get a head start on getting a spare ready, since we know Dr. Finch can handle a head transplant now. I'm sure he's not looking forward to doing that again.

They need some eyes on Hope and Thale, maybe look into blooding some insects that would be hard to notice. A group of ants?

What Ms. Voclain knows will possibly shape future plans quite a bit.

Check on Caius and the camera left in the warehouse, assuming nothing unexpected crops up, probably time for some Z's
