You have Willard take a closer look--and a closer listen, and a closer smell.

The blue pipe in the middle looks rather suspect. It runs straight down, and on closer inspection, seems newer than the surrounding pipes. However, because it's newer, it's also much smoother. You think Willard could climb down it, but not necessarily back up.

You check the grating on the right side. It does, indeed, seem to connect back to the outside; both grates on the front of the building just lead back to here. The green junction pipe to the right is distinct, as well; you can faintly smell chemical cleaner from it. It likely leads to a restroom inside the church.

Let's check out the restroom: we don't want to risk Willard getting trapped in there.

Probably best to check the bathroom now, since we're right here.

So if we take the blue pipe we'll likely have to hide Willard when he's done and include him as part of the rescue mission as he'll likely be unable to escape at that point.

If we're trying to establish layout, Willard should follow the green pipe. If we're just trying to find the Brain Beast, he should take the blue pipe.
Keeping in mind the more Willard searches the higher the chances of being discovered.

Yeah the blue pipe is either brain beast sustenance or part of some other new project that were going to want to know about

I think we should probably just establish the layout for now, we should be able to get him back to this area later if we need to

Very carefully check the rest room first, I guess, since he can always scarper back into this junction area after a quick peek. Maybe we'll be privy to an interesting conversation or two in there, who knows? -v-)/

Is the wall climbable?
