You bring the raven back up to the door.

You have it drop the glow stick down the hole.

It falls

And falls

and falls.

Your raven is still watching the faint green light tumble down into the darkness as you report your findings to the others.

"So we have a bottomless hole," Fuse says.

"It can't be," Dr. Finch replies. "Even if such a thing were physically possible... the bunker has concrete walls, yes? The same as every bunker hence far. The staff of Zone Fifty would need to provide those walls, which would be impossible for a bottomless pit. It would take an infinite amount of time and concrete. There must be a bottom to it somewhere."

After a little less than twenty seconds, the light stops falling... and your raven hears a very hard impact against the ceiling tiles above, loud enough to make the raven jump a little.

Is it just me, or could this have been a waste disposal system, like where they put their garage, I guess? And did the raven drop the stick when it got back to the ledge or before it started to come back up?

wait.. the ceiling? ARE YOU TELLING ME THE BOTTOM OF THE HOLE IS THE CEILING? This is some portal stuff going on right now

... Wait. An impact against the /ceiling/ tiles? Somethin' I wonder... maybe they broke physics in this room and, if it wasn't for that ceiling-floor, we'd probably just see an glowstick fall infinitely... at least, until it hits the platform that allows one to look into the pit, anyways. Should figure out a way to pry open the ceiling tiles and see if we can get a look up at the floor above. ...Maybe.

So, fun fact: Assuming negligible air resistance, that pit is nearly a KM deep.

Well I guess that rules out this being the trash pit.
It could be meant for experimenting with anomalies, but I'm not sure what this would be meant to prove.

Wait, WHAT? That's insane! Let's try it again. Drop a rock or something from outside (there's plenty of broken bits of chips and rubble, right) and see if it hits the 'ceiling' again. O_O

Cool. In the event of us needing to get rid of some baddies permanently (and hide the bodies) we now have, for all intensive purposes, a 300 pit.

I like this place even more now. I am so tempted to have us tape Lil-Red to the wall. Anyways, if it's possible to do so easily, I say we make and drop a depth meter down the hole, maybe do some testy science stuff. Then ON TO BUNKER D!!!
