You tell everyone to relax--or at least, try to, as much as they can. You head to your parents' old bedroom, down the vent, and into your Mom's red.

You go back to the room where the mouth was.

"You have returned. Have you altered your form? Your hair is a different color, and you've gained an additional eye since last we spoke."

WalkerOfSorrow 7th Sep 2017, 9:15 PM edit delete reply
Yes, we've altered our form. But we made sloppy mistakes. We've come to talk, at long last, and we need help only you can give. Help knowing how to be like Mom.
AlphaDragon 7th Sep 2017, 9:34 PM edit delete reply
That sounds about right to me.
Mochi 7th Sep 2017, 9:34 PM edit delete reply
we have, yes, but through more conventional means. aside from the weird shoulder and having ears in our chest... and yeah, like walker said... we need any help you can give us. we're up shit creek without a paddle and we don't really have many allies to turn to, so... hey. how's it going?
WalkerOfSorrow 7th Sep 2017, 9:36 PM edit delete reply
"Dormammu, I've come to bargain." Hehehe...

Have we altered our form? Er... as much as a human can, yes XD;;;

Sigh. Jane needs to let off some pressure and unload a bit.

I think specifically what we'd like to know is: a) how do we control our abilities a little better? does practice make perfect? b) is it possible to use our blood to vaccinate our allies from the weaponised streptococcus? c) was mom aware of factions on this planet that were hunting down aliens or something to that effect? d) can I just have a good cry and can you give me advice mom would have given me?
Mochi 7th Sep 2017, 10:23 PM edit delete reply
yes, all good things.

>Have we altered our form? Er... as much as a human can, yes

And a little that a human can't, too. *makes grindy noises with shoulder*

Also yes, we need a good cry. Mom's red might be a bit confused at why we're "leaking" or something, though, maybe better to cry on Michelle :P
rufiangel 7th Sep 2017, 10:44 PM edit delete reply
Ah that's right, the shoulder. XD;;; And the ears in our chest. Hmm. (Though the hair dye and the bio-printed eyeball wasn't alien-blood-generated changes, which was ironically the only stuff mom's red pointed out XD)

As for Jane letting her guard down to have a good cry, I honestly think she could do it *anywhere* so long as she just bloody does it. :'D It would be great if she could do it in front of her friends upstairs, but then I can also see why she might not, depending. Reason being, everyone is freaked out, at a loss and feeling screwed over. Michelle in particular looks to Jane for direction. Crying in front of them at this juncture may not be constructive. (I know that crying isn't *supposed* to be constructive but you know what I mean? Like, right now, we need a plan more than stress relief.) But if we have a plan in place, then maybe getting some hugs and being a little face-leaky with our friends after that would be nice. -v- Michelle in particular *does* need to see that Jane has a vulnerable, less on-a-pedestal side to her, but timing is everything.

Just my thoughts on that ;v;*)/
Mochi 7th Sep 2017, 10:46 PM edit delete reply
hey, i'm human and my shoulder grinds. *grind grind grind*

michelle may also think it's weird that we're leaking, but she's probably more equipped to deal with it than mom's red is.
rufiangel 7th Sep 2017, 10:59 PM edit delete reply
s-stahp grinding your shoulder XDDD

As for Michelle, on a tangent, the very first hug we gave her, she hesitated before she hugged back. The second hug she didn't really have time to react. But the third hug, she smiled and hugged back, so I think we have managed to break through the hesitation barrier. -v-)/

So many possible questions. First off investigate what's going on with the body weirdness, a unique perspective on matters might be all that's needed to fix things properly. Second inquire on honing abilities and how to do it and finally ask if there was anything to avoid doing that could lead to overexerting our blood.
WalkerOfSorrow 7th Sep 2017, 10:04 PM edit delete reply
So, Crestlinger, if I'm summing up your comment correctly:

We're asking Mom to explain why weird things are happening to our body, what we should do about it, and what to do about excessive blood flow.
Baeronius 7th Sep 2017, 10:22 PM edit delete reply
Speaking of excessive blood flow. I think we've made enough blood to possibly make an entire cow out of blood.

... and that reminds me. Is there a vial of blood in a laboratory somewhere? I mean we've had our blood drawn before, so... we might be able to peek into a few random laboratories.

At least to know who has the blood, or if it's mostly in frozen storage.

Anyway, I think being too goal-oriented at this moment might actually hurt us. Like Rufi said, we need advice that Mom would have given us. From there, we can talk with Red to organically explore what we are and how to be us correctly. We need to be ready for answers that are hard to understand, or might make us uncomfortable.

At a point where we're more adjusted to being us, we can then move onto training and asking about bio weapons and enemy factions. But on the latter, I think there's an important question we need to ask Mom's Red when the time is right: did Mom have enemies more in HER ballpark? She was not human, and it is entirely likely we've been on a countdown clock this whole time. Counting toward the arrival of some otherworldly enemy, or them discovering our existence and/or location.

Our human enemies are freaky, yes, but is there something infinitely more profound we need to be aware of?

You joke, Walker, but that DOES actually bring up a good question... Does Jane still menstruate? Can we do eldritch things with THAT blood too?

Never thought I'd ever think of a period as being potentially *useful*...

Alternatively, with the amount of control we now have over our body, we could potentially just stop our reproductive cycle entirely and save up some of our body's resources for more useful-in-the-moment endeavors.
WalkerOfSorrow 7th Sep 2017, 10:38 PM edit delete reply
Oh thank the GODS I don't have to explain the joke! Thank you Kitty!

The biological purpose of menstruation has to do with the human reproductive cycle. We came from an egg AND we take after our mother. Odds are we're not exactly equipped for that. But I suppose only MM knows.

So first we want to find out how to stabilize our form?
Then we want to figure out how to heal/help our friends...
And then possibly learn how to store/make energy or blood for larger needs later on.

Anything else?
OOh oooh! Mayhaps we can learn how to make those blue fish mushrooms!
(I mean they probably wouldn't do anything here, but eh!)
No? That's just me? Aww... Chlorophyll.
