You pause, briefly considering the effects of injecting pesticide into the meat wall. A needle full of pesticide would probably kill a normal person, but the wall is very large and though made of human parts, might not operate on the same biological rules. A super soaker full of very flammable pesticide does sound like the beginning of a plan, but it might need a few extra ingredients.

You climb into the vent and shuffle off into the dark, venturing beyond the meat wall.

The good news is, you can pretty clearly see the other end of the hall from your vantage point inside the ventilation shaft.

The bad news is... yowza.

Please tell me that pink thing with the eyeball can't see us!! Can we inspect everything without being seen?
(If we can't then I really don't think being seen by that eyeball is a good idea.) Are the red arms moving? Do they look like they could reach us? Is anyone still alive or are they all looking very dead? What's going on with that person on the ceiling?

Added EDIT: Omg what's going on with the eyeball on the left on the wall?? Can THAT see us?!

(Oh, and super soaker full of very flammable pesticide sounds like a grand thing to attempt to put together for future use, when some extra ingredients might be rendered available after further exploration.)

The eyeballs are moving, but do not seem to have noticed you yet.

The arms move once in a while, but not much. You are not sure if they can bend, or how far they can reach.

None of the bodies are moving, not even the one hanging from the ceiling.

Oh man oh man. Are we able to see any further past the elevator to the right? Or is that a wall?
Morgenstern 24th Jul 2017, 3:24 AM edit delete reply
It is a wall. The elevator is the end of the hallway.

Okie... uhm... I think very gently shuffling back into the room we started in, and perhaps making our way back to the maintenance closet so we can fill up the syringe with flammable pesticide might be an idea. And potentially make it back to the room with Michelle and see how she's doing? Oh gosh. Assuming we make it that far without interruption...

I know it’s years later now, but I can’t keep from adding that I wonder what would have happened if we’d tried running past the eyes to see if the elevator still operates.
