You have the clown call the number back, and tell the person on the other line that it was a false alarm. He just got spooked by a large rodent.

"Sure," says the voice on the other line. "Yeah, we'll call the whole thing off. No prob."

They hang up.

Their tone was not very convincing.

You quickly check on Prophet, as you realize in all the excitement you never really got an answer. He, himself, is on the phone with someone by the time you get back to him.

"Oh, yes. Absolutely. ... No, I'm sure it is. Thank you." Prophet hangs up the phone, shoving it back into his pocket. He inhales a slow, shaky breath before addressing your guard. "I'll make you... a deal. Come get this man... and you can have him."

Prophet turns, and begins to stroll toward the door. "Come, Nimrod. Let's go for a walk." Both Prophet and Nimrod unceremoniously exit the room.

You contact Michelle to see what's going on. "You guys alright?" Though Michelle does her best to sound calm, you can tell she's been panicking. It only takes you a second to realize why: now surrounding the warehouse is a great, glowing blue bubble. It looks to be made of some kind of energy. You ask her what that is, and she almost answers before you get done asking. "They've got a god damn shield generator! That... it's military tech, they had to have jacked it from somewhere. Those suckers can take a rocket at point blank... but the shield generator should be inside somewhere. You can shut it off if you find it. I didn't think these goons had that kinda pull."

And just as a heads up, the final sprite sheet for chapter 2 is now up on my Patreon. $3 a month, and you can get access to the sprite sheet from each chapter in .png form. Chapter 2's sheet ended up being muuuch bigger than Chapter 1's.

The real horror is how completely unorganized it is.

So THAT'S what the bright light was, ARGH, well, DAMN, that means we can't get out, can we? :'D Well, okay. Options. Lots of them. (Minus just happily walking out of the big blue bubble.)

Well, let Fuse know we're stuck inside a big blue bubble. And uhm, guess we should put the shield generator on our agenda so we can shut it off. Can Mr. Clown help us? (On that note, can we ask if he has radioactive blood just to see if that was actually what caused the burning or not? XD;)

The Prophet hasn't exactly left the building, I take it; they just left the room, and the guard is bait. Lovely. Let's walk right into that one, maybe not. Better figure out exactly where the guard is I guess, see if we can't come at it from another angle if necessary.

Michelle, please keep yourself safe.

(MM, you're teasing us with the Fuse thing so bad, I want to throttle youuuu XD)

First things first, un-split the team and gather them together in one safe place, guard and all.
Keep the clown and the guard tied up such that a lapse in concentration won't get us killed.
Get a hold of our Red, figure out what the hell happened with our blood injection.
See if there's anything particularly applicable it could recommend we do to save our sorry asses. Transmit any new info to team.
Gear up as best we can.
Go into murder mode. If we have to kill it, don't feel sorry about it. Shit's hitting the fan.
Get a hold of Finch. Make sure he's safe; If so,have him get a hold of Grizwald and get safeR. Also make sure Finch is armed and prepared to kill Grizwald if he turns out to be an asshole all along or something.

...Also, make clown guy take off his mask.

When did not wanting the guard to spill what he knows make the jump to caring about his fate? He had a job to do and had the misfortune failing. Sure, he might not be a truly bad guy but that's not something we can count on.

always? the only reason we drove to this warehouse was to rescue the guard. literally all we've been doing is trying to keep him alive. unsurprisingly, as a medical professional and generally good person, jane actually cares about peoples' well-being.

i second re-grouping. at this point we need all the help we can get, tube guard included. right now we only have four of us, although i'm hesitant to count the clown. make sure the clown is completely disarmed, and make him look out the door while we're percieving through him. see if it links to the one in the main room that's been behind the fork lift the whole time. percieve through the guard and check if the main room is actually empty now.

also, inventory check. how poorly prepared are we?
