You have your clot back up from the doorway a bit... and you begin to generate electricity in the red. Using the blood inside Blobbert as a portal, you build, and then expel, the electricity straight at the webbing that blocks the door.
Control is... extremely difficult. You've determined that altering the flow of electricity in-flight is pretty much impossible, but you can change how it's channeled as it leaves the red--similar to how you can 'launch' objects with varying force, you can funnel the force with which your bioelectricity ejects.
Your initial blast burns through some of the webbing... but not as much as it should. It also does seem to travel throughout it, confirming that there's some kind of metal particles in the silk's composition. You do manage to knock some of the webbing out of the doorway with the impact of the beam, at least.
Blasting electricity out of your blob also has some notable side effects. A significant amount of the blood inside Blobbert clotted independently, following the path the electricity took on its way out. The voltage seems to have activated platelets and stimulated coagulation--something to perhaps be mindful of with higher outputs.
You close the portal, and let the charge fade from your clot.
For a moment, nothing happens
but then the lights in the hallway flicker, and begin to buzz.
Louder, and louder.
The web in the doorway--and the strands sticking to the ceiling and floor in the middle of the hall--abruptly light up in a massive burst of electricity, catching you completely by surprise. The sheer force of the blast blows Blobbert apart, spraying him down the hall and across the back wall--while simultaneously coagulating a great amount of him.
You feel... something. In the room you're in.
Something traveling through the ceilings and floors. You can't describe it accurately, it's like... the webbing isn't just attached to the ceilings, walls, and floor. It... it keeps going? But it it it stops being physical and continues on as... power.
A condensed EM field focused through a network. The actual webs are just a physical outlet for a much larger energy web, the way your body is a physical outlet for the red.
You can't... tell how far it really goes, but it's thick in the walls of this facility. You feel as it lights up, strengthening its presence... and collecting toward the webs at the end of this very room.
The webs that block this room off--they're building a charge.
"Uh, Blondie?," Michelle says warily. Everyone begins to look around. They can't see the rest of the webs... but they can hear the buzzing sounds that begin to emanate from the walls.
Amidst the crackling and humming, you can almost... make out words, formed in the electrical noises.
I feel like every Blobbert should just continue to be Blobbert. If we start adding Jr., III, etc. then we'll quickly lose track. And what if we want to make multiple Blobberts at the same time? We make numbers 8 and 9 at the same time, which one gets to be Blobbert VIII and which one gets to be Blobbert IX?
Every manifestation of Blobbert should simply be Blobbert.
Air Flo' from the (awesomely NSFW) webcomic Raven's Dojo has a blood jetpack (which doubles as a bloodzooka when she aims anywhere but down).
It's messy as it gets - she leaves a literal trail of blood behind her everywhere she flies, leaving bystanders usually unhappy despite her good intentions.
Wwwwwwwelp. Can we manifest a kind of... cage of particularly iron-full veins that ground into the red, around the party, so we can communicate with this thing with at least *slightly* less risk of being possibly accidentally exploded? Because I think Electric Psychic Mutant Ghost Spider Satan might not even have done that *intentionally,* but it was simply a side effect of Blobbert being too close to a web while he condensed enough to talk with us. Of course, EPMGSS *might* have done it intentionally; but it might just be... sufficiently powerfully charged that his mere existence is dangerous to us.
As for what to say, we should say that we don't know exactly who he/she/it/they want(s), but we brought our best guess. We would appreciate if it would take *extensive* care in interacting with us, because apparently its existence is very hazardous to our health and that of our allies and... extensions. Who specifically does it want, and what does it want with her?
So, a Faraday cage? Give it an inner layer of fat as well, and ask Finch for any knowledge on the subject he may have so that you can do it as properly as possible.
Soooo, I'm a dumbass and just realized that I've been assuming that EPMGSS was the one asking us about whether we brought "her," but that's illogical-- it was actually the Zombie Goasts who asked us that in the first place, and the question is *not* coming from the same place that the charging up is coming from. Soooo it's probably just that the Zombie Goasts have showed up at the same time that EPMGSS did.
Sooooo we might actually need to worry a LOT more, because what I was originally thinking of as a sign that EPMGSS wasn't going to *immediately* attack is actually probably wrong, and there's nothing keeping EPMGSS from blasting us because he's probably not at all interested in talking. So the challenge is "how do we not die while also being able to communicate with the Zombie Goasts."
So I amend my suggestion: we ground the *fuck* out of ourselves, and also fortify like hell. Not just red wall, but also red floor and red ceiling and other red walls. Because this blast is probably coming sooner than I expected and it's going to hurt.
I'm honestly wondering if it wouldn't be a better idea to just schlorp ourself and our allies into the red, but... well, we haven't practiced doing that without traumatizing people yet.
this is kind of why i wanted to do that/ask the tradesmen/reds about it x:also when i was thinking wall i was thinking like back in chapter one the one that was blocking the even creepier hallway to the OR
So now The Entity Which May Or May Not Be Ghostly Mutant Electro Spider Satan... appears to be furious and essentially pointing a lightning gun at our heads.
Running will likely get us shot; attacking will likely get us shot. Time for diplomacy. With Electro Spider Satan.
There are still a lot of blood puddles all over the floor for portaling... Form a meat-wall, as fast as possible, to shield the group from any lightning that may discharge from the web in front of them. And maybe coat the web-facing side with a blood portal, to catch the hypothetically incoming lightning and collect it in the red dimension.
And, from behind the wall, let's talk. Ask, as nicely as possible, who the prophesied "her" is.
Meatwall to block the webs combined with lightning-rod veins around the party sounds like a good plan. We just need to make sure that with all our barriers, we're still able to communicate with the entity and see what it wants-- both to avoid provoking it, and to learn what the hell it's talking about.
Yeah, we’ve just assumed it was us, but we don’t officially know who it could be; as a matter of fact, it could honestly be any other extraordinarily important ‘her’, so it wouldn’t hurt to question.
Point out that if we’re assuming “she” is humanoid (since neither Faraday nor Mine is entirely human,) that still describes billions of people.
So if they could, a description would probably help all parties here.
...Knew we should have just burned that webbing. Alright, it's looking increasingly likely that this thing wants a member of the Ghost Trio, and unless we can produce them quickly we'll have a fight on our hands. I don't fancy our chances in a battle with this thing, not when it's charged up and clearly more skilled at electrokinesis than we are. Stay away from the webbing, and keep the damn thing talking about prophecies and Chosen Ones and other crazy things while Fuse gets good and leveled. It's time to see how good this living circuit's heat sinks are.
Or it might want Mine. Like, she's got electricity powers now too. She's also literally prophesied by the Cult of Enyo.
I feel like taking aggressive action would just make this situation even more dangerous-- we are essentially inside this entity right now, given that its... existence seems to spread beyond physical reality. Sure, we should have Fuse be *ready* to bring the fire, but not until we know that we have to-- otherwise, we risk provoking a very, very dangerous entity.
We should stick to the defensive right now, in order to avoid angering our possible opponent. Hell, the being seems to be already upon us, so let’s make this a friendly conversation, shall we?
I think conductivity will be the key in the future when using the lightning powers. We should take the Taser approach -- create a long conductive strand in the red and shoot that out the portal at the same time as the electricity, giving it an easy path to follow for more pinpoint control over distance. Can combine the lesson she learned about making the wand work with this idea.
firstly, blood the area around us so we can displace the electricity into the RED, get it way the fuck away from us -- we'll need to observe the effects of that electricity at a later date, hopefully it hasn't messed up our infinite plane of blood & flesh in any major way;
second, +1 to meatwall (possibly also underneath us if the floor looks like it'll be a problem) & vein cage -- but maybe see if we can make a dual-walled one, or at minimum put a layer of fat on one side to block stray sparks;
next, simulate level on Fuse and MENTALLY tell him to be ready to burn the webs (don't know if our enemy can hear us/sense vibrations, or can hear thoughts -- VERY MUCH HOPING NOT THE LATTER), that could/should fuck with Spider Satan's sparky powers;
finally, maybe protect Michelle's mini-gun as well? if she gets hit with a stray spark (and by that I mean even a passing blow from the electro!webs), that thing might go kaboom and that'd not be good :X Not sure what could be done about it however...
I know that's a lot at once, but we've gotten pretty good at multitasking, and not all of it is on us to concentrate on, so it should be manageable.
No opinion on current situation.
For later, should attempt to re-assemble blobert using their now splattered remains.
One part practicing with self-imposed limitations, another to see if we can.
build a small meat chamber with as much flesh, bone and other insulating material and stay inside, there might still be an electrical discharge and we'd prefer to not get hit
that or just run outside and wait for the discharge to go off then head back in
I propose we treat his like a completely ordinary conversation, replying something to the effect of That depends on who "her" is. as well as making introductions and asking who it is we're speaking to.
So whatever this creature is, it can weave EM fields like fabric and use it to sense things and channal electricity. What if the zombie ghosts we saw weren't all patchwork because they'd been eaten, but because the weaver had stitched them together from various weak EM fields from the same source.
I'm voting we try and ask who 'she' is and see if this thing can actually communicate with us, if it just repeats the same question over and over it might just be mimicry or a trap.
Considering this thing didn't recognize Mine as "her," this makes me think it wants Faraday, especially if this energy web is a lot bigger than the power station... it may have noticed her through the locking system on the bunker door. However, bringing her there seems anything but safe. We should ask this thing about the prophecy to find out more about what it wants, expects, and why.
"Yeah I'm her."
also make a new blobbert
name him blobbert jr
Every manifestation of Blobbert should simply be Blobbert.
Let's forget about removing the webs for now.
Then yell "psych!"
Then run...
I'm intrigued at your idea of running faster than as fast as possible? Red Jet Propulsion? (RJP)
Red jet propulsion... That's an interesting idea. We should make blood jet packs later or something.
You know, after we're very far away from here.
It's messy as it gets - she leaves a literal trail of blood behind her everywhere she flies, leaving bystanders usually unhappy despite her good intentions.

We could make it: El PsyM GoSS, make him sound like a fancy luchador.
Then be polite, but dont take no shit from no electric spider demi-god satan thing. We are the big badass here, that should be... Expressly known.
