You practice using your new wand--specifically, forming a long shard of bone in the red. You point your wand toward the big collection of webs on the other side of the room... and you launch the bone out of the blood at the tip of your wand.
It works, almost exactly like you thought it would--the bone fires out at a fairly high speed.
...Though, not high enough of a speed to pierce the webs. The bone cracks a bit as it impacts and bounces off.
"Damn, though," Michelle comments. "If you can get it goin' faster, you've got like a crossbow or... almost a railgun goin' there."
You also continue sending your giant clot down the hall. It has to squeeze past some webs, but after that, you have it stop and peek through the first (webbed up) door.
We need denser bone bolts, too - if it's just going to crack on impact with something that actually stretches, then it's going to be useless against anything of any hardness.
Okay, so. What are we looking at here? How much info can we gather about what those pieces of machinery used to be from our current spot? What exactly made that hole - was it corroded away, ripped open, etc?
In particular, the thing on the right-- with the little gauges-- is curiously untouched. Everything else has been cut up, chewed on, and/or smeared with the weird yellow goo-- but not the meter machine. Curious. Should we choose to investigate that room further in person, the meter thingie might be worth closer examination.
Let's send a small blood bug in there so we don't have to cut the spider web to get through. I guess we could also just spray blood on the web and tear it down.
Either what chewed on that power box is now nesting in that hole or ripped off the left pipe of it on leaving. Marks on the wall suggest something that can emit goop from its feet or has a rather large tongue.
there's a possibility that we may actually be dealing with multiple creatures here, the psychic one, the one eating all these electrical components and maybe a third one leaving all this weird orange/yellow stuff around
I guess we should also send in a blood bug to scout below the webbed door since I don't think our blob friend's gonna fit, and also scout in whatever that broken glass machine is on the left. There's a hole at the bottom that I don't think Blobbert is gonna fit.
Once we send in a blood bug, we should also check out the far left door in the room where Blobbert is
We've already got access to a looping space in which objects will infinitely fall and build momentum. We could make use of that quite easily to similar effect.
Ergh, the largest duct being torn off completely means heavy repairs are probably on the list if we want to fix this place.
... Can Mine read up on power stations and blood up equivalent-use (if more organic) parts ? That would help tremendously in terms of funds and time required to get this up and running.
We color the other bone armor too (skin comes in multiple colors after all). Give everyone their choice. (I suspect Caius wiill want black or stick with bare bone for maximum metal.)
In regards to crossbow/railgun bone launcher, you could make the bone shard "farther back" in the Red and just accelerate it more so it comes out at higher speed. Also, maybe just ignore the webbed door for now, see if the other door holds another way around. The less we disturb these webs, probably the better.

Have the crossbow bolts at speed in the red ... however that may actually work. Then portal them out of the wand at any given time.
... we could have them so fast that they become plasma. :D

Because otherwise it leaves Mine sticking out.
bare metal.
(rimshot echoes in the Red)
Why are we sticking with bone? You want light and strong? Graphine.
1 molecule of graphite, one similar space, & repeat. Like a patchwork quilt.
