You begin talking to Edison as though she were present. As you do, you subtly attempt to look for her--checking the corners of the room, searching for anything unusual or any sort of distortion.
After a few minutes of calmly reassuring her that you won't give up--and that you just want her to see the truth--you hear a slight rustling inside the containment canister. She doesn't say anything... you're not even sure you were meant to hear her moving in there. She may be trying to trick you into letting her out, though if that's the case, you're definitely not falling for it.
After the initial rustling in the can, you don't hear anything else.
You make an attempt to sense her--to see if you can read electrical signals, or anything like that. You definitely... perceive... something, like static in the air, but it stops at the walls and floors of the bunker. The same material that keeps ghosts from passing through may be cutting off electrical perception.
We should give Edison space. It's clear she doesn't want to interact with us quite yet, and trying to force it could backfire massively. We've said our part, we're not going to give up on her, but this won't be a fast process.
On a related note, we should ask Tesla and Faraday what kind of stories Edison likes, so we can get a book or two to read to Edison. (And what kind of stories they like too, getting the girls some reading material seems like a sound idea.)
+1 check back around noon? she might be "sleeping". lets go ask the tradesmen a bunch of stuff or explore the power plant or Science(!) more with Mines blood.
Agreed - if she doesn't want to respond at the moment, we won't force the issue. Getting a book is a good idea - we can read a chapter each time we come by, maybe give her something to actually look forward to.
Try "Blooding" water see if we can move it around.
Theory - The blood is Inside the water, therefor it is a container of blood.
Blood in a room, can we move it?(Like we did with Dr. Finch when the Feds had him)
Theory - Whats more container like then rooms/buildings? Should work right?
Additional Theory - Anything less then infinite is a container.
Elector-Vision, how good is it and how does it work? can we use it with a "blood bug"?
Theory - It is some kind of non-physical ESP and all it needs is Mines blood to work
*Tradesmen questions*
Is Lydia in any near-future personal danger?
Why is the Mysterious address bugging Mine?
What is AT the Mysterious address?
If we put a note with a request in the Up-trade ritual, how will it effect the outcome?
What happens to a person out side of continuity when someone forceably rewinds their personal time-line then puts them back in continuity after the time they were at before they were rewound?
Pretty good list of things we would like to know here.
We should probably check in with our pigeon first and see what there is to see there and prioritize tradesmen questions regarding carpenter and his plans/how to stop them/how to not get people killed stopping them, however. I would like to know all this stuff, but I would like to make sure Carpenter doesn't sucker-punch us first.
We should really try and get that power plant up and running before more Thale/Carpenter shenanigans begin again. We won't have the time to do so once one of them makes their next (probably big) move.
Agreed. We also need to check on our pigeon who's scoping out Carpenter's location for that same reason. Given Thale's personality, it's highly likely that Carpenter will be the one to move next.
Yeah, let's just cheerfully let her know that we'll be back later, when she feels like talking. Again, ask if she needs anything-- maybe say "why don't you think about what sorts of things you'd like, and you can tell me when I come back later."
We definitely need to check on the pigeon that went toward That One Address and see what it sees. That's super-important. Then we can decide what we want to do today; perhaps we can investigate the power plant further, with Mine along to practice using her electricity sense, or using a blood bug and seeing if we can electricity sense through that.
