It takes a little effort with what you have, but you manage to clean off the severed hand you got from the desk upstairs.

You swipe the basement keycard, you use the fingerprint from the severed hand, and Dr. Finch gives his fingerprint.

The door opens.

You find yourself in the surveillance room.

"Wh... wait. I didn't see any cameras in this hospital," says Michelle. "You guys got cameras?"

Dr. Finch nervously adjusts his glasses. "I... I've never been in this room myself, actually, I had no idea. I've heard nurses talk about the cameras, but I thought... I thought it was just silly gossip. It makes sense that they'd be hidden, however. With how small the hospital's budget is, they couldn't conceivably afford to cover every inch of the building... so, by putting the cameras in only key places, hiding the specifics, and disseminating the vague knowledge of the cameras' existence... you can discourage staff from ill behavior. After all, you would never really know when you're being watched."

The small screens flicker through various locations. The front doors, one of the patient rooms, the cafeteria... even a few rooms on the third, fourth, and fifth floors, which you never had any reason to go exploring.

On the largest screen, however, is not surveillance footage... but a large, looming silhouette. It's been digitally filtered, both to hide the silhouette's identity, and to give it the appearance of a wide, eerie grin. You watch it for a while, expecting it to move... but it never does. It's likely just a still image.

In fact, everything is very still. No one is scampering about the hallways, no one is scurrying out of vents. No people. No monsters. Just bloodshed. Just bodies. Just bile and destruction and the aftermath of everything. You only see, for an instant, a large shadow passing a camera on the fourth floor.

You're snapped out of your daze by Michelle.

"So, I guess this stupid face on the screen is pretty self explanatory."

Dr. Finch is visibly sweating. "Y-Yes... the surveillance system would, logically, be wired into the OS... which means the hacker has had access to the surveillance system the whole time. T-there's no telling how... h-how much he's s-seen. He may well have been watching us the whole time, or as much as he could with so few cameras in play."

"You think there's a camera in here?"

Dr. Finch swallows dryly. "Likely. With such a sophisticated lock, they clearly wanted to keep out anyone that didn't have strict business in this room... I imagine they'd go the distance, and put a camera in, as well. The hacker is... is... l-likely watching us r-right now."

Michelle glances around the room, as if hoping to spot it. The camera does not seem visible. She raises a hand into the air... in particular, a middle finger. She turns with it, offering it to every corner, trying to ensure that no matter what angle she's viewed from the hacker gets a good, long look.

Michelle sure is a mature adult. Though look who's talking, I have a grudge against a comic character for no reason. Rummage through the lockers.

... wait does this place have a PA system? this sort of seems to be about the right time someone starts monologuing from the building's internal speakers... if it has such a system in it anyways.

... Side note, think it's possibly to jury rig a tazer out of that unlocked cellphone lying about in the backpack? Given how these things are all organic a tazer should lock their muscles up pretty well... or fry them out right if... it's either the wattage or the voltage being too strong. I can't remember which off the top of my head. Probably better to ignore uh, non lethal action and make it a... Jolt Gun sounds about right.

Well, if you can get it next to the circuits of the outdated rogue whatever running all the smart electronics of this place it'd short that out pretty good too. Or it should. Don't really know how electronics really work in this setting.

Michelle is a badass rebel haha. She also seems like the type of person who is aware of her surroundings to the point where she could spot a hidden camera if needed, honestly.
