While Caius explains the tunnels and the monster to Jury, you have your bug examine the books on Hope's bookshelf. There's a lot of books on biblical imagery and interpretation, especially regarding the rapture, the end times, the apocalypse, that sort of thing.

...There's also a lot of books on group psychology, swaying public masses, the formation of insular cultures, and fostering oppressed martyr mentalities in sub-groups. There's a few books on acquiring and managing income (more specifically, inspirational speaking for profit, fleecing people, and the best ways to avoid paying taxes). There's one book on being a pickup artist.

You check the safe. It's... definitely a safe. Metal, heavy, and with a digital lock.

You also check the painting on the wall. It's not quite like the others--it looks newer, and by a different artist than the previous paintings. You think this one might be modern, rather than a copy of older art. It depicts a man being carried by angels toward heaven.

On closer examination, the man in the painting bares a strong resemblance to Hope. ...At least in the face. He's much more fit in the painting than he is in real life.

You have your bug cling to the underside of the chair, hiding it away for the moment.

If possible, can we shape the bug so that it's flat enough to go through the cracks of the safe? Just to see what's inside, like, not really turning it into liquid, just making it really flat, sliding it into a crack and into the safe, then growing an eye on the other side

Also we should check on the hummer retrieval team

tho if the safe thing takes too much time/effort, let's not

We could make an egg and force that through, maybe, but I doubt there would be enough light inside to sense much.

Yeesh! With this information it seems Red Eyed Prophet had extremely little chance of being anything other than what he ended up as.

With the safe I would just say we pick it up on the way out.
It seems to just standing on the ground not built into the wall, so Caius or Michelle should be able to simply carry it out.

Or we could try if we are able to build a pool of blood underneath it to simply 'port it out.
The bloodpool then turns into a bug and goes out of there to leave no evidence.

Check on status of hummer retrieval mission and work on building more Lumpy golems in the meantime (if there's anytime).
I'm really starting to like the idea of sending in a nigh-indestructible golem to rescue Grizwald (or act as a distraction while the rest of us rescue him). If we can deal with the monster, having an armor golem get all of Hope's attention would be great in preventing us from being televised and then identified as criminals by Hope.
On that note, we should see if there's a television broadcasting room somewhere like a security room that we can hack. Otherwise, the one type of weapon I would like to get is an EMP bomb to disable those television cameras.

I like this golem plan

Can we have the bug make an egg there? Might be useful if we see Hope sneaking into his office but our bug is outside.

Caius may also want to confirm the kidnapping - I don't remember if he did so far.

Might want to make an egg hidden somewhere in Hope's study. Redundancy is key to proper infiltration.

Michelle returns. "Jury said she's down. She can't bring in a strike team or nothin', but if Hope's really kidnapped a homeless guy Jury don't give a damn about the paperwork. We call her, she'll be there. We got 'til Sunday, right? And today's... uh..."
We are trying to allow Jury to bring in said strike team. If they can catch Thale flat-footed, he might hide the monster and the feds might provide enough of a distraction for us to run in, get Grizwald to safety, and get out.
On that note, Jury will probably need video evidence; meaning we'll need to send in the camera bot/golem. If at the same time we could put a tracker on Thale's monster, we might we able to trace it back to a monster base Thale owns if he does run away with it. It would work out in our favor on multiple levels.

Keep in mind, if we take jury, we can't use magic or anything that looks like we got it via magic.

I was more thinking of using her intervention as a diversion to do our shenanigans. As a federal agent tipped off by a known source, she might have enough leverage to get a warrant.
Depending how far down the crazy rabbit hole Hope is, he will either comply (and she would extract Grizwald) or not (then we infiltrate and retrieve Grizwald ourselves).
Jury wouldn't get to see anything.
