So, the device can definitely make calls--but can someone call it back?
Dr. Finch takes out his phone, and attempts to dial the alien earpiece. "It's not listing a phone number..." begins Dr. Finch, "but dialing it back is an option."
There's a pause. Dr. Finch shakes his head. "It doesn't seem to be working, however."
"Hold on," Caius says. He takes a second to psych himself up... and then plugs the device back into his ear. You see him wince as its wires rework their way through his brain.
Dr. Finch tries again.
"Yup," Caius says. You can hear his voice from Finch's phone, in addition to Caius directly.
"So calls can go both ways," Dr. Finch states. "Interesting. I must say, the clarity from that device is astonishing--it's pitch perfect, even connecting to my own less-than-stellar phone."
"For what we gotta do to make tha thing work, it damn well better be," Caius chuckles.
Fuse continues messing with the advanced computer, getting closer to working the door decoding program out on it. You ask Fuse if anything might make his clone... dangerous, to him personally.
Fuse stops, thinking about it for a second. He gives a small shrug. "I... shouldn't? I've got some issues, I think, but other-me shouldn't be homicidal or anything. Seriously, I don't know what I'm worried about."
Fuse not knowing what he should be worried about has got ME worried.
You know... we could go in together. I'm assuming not!Jane would prevent not!Fuse from doing anything... regretful.
Would still leave the decision up to Fuse though. If he thinks it's just anxiety/nerves trying to convince him to chicken out that's his call. But the offer stands (as well as leveling him before he enters).
Also good it seems Fuse is making progress after all. Maybe we can hold off on using magic.
That leaves dinner plans (still proposing salmon salad) BETTER IDEA: Test out Caius's new phone and order pizza! And still need to have that long-overdue chat with our Red about pretty much everything since the Library matter.
EDIT: And hey, don't forget to call Jury at some point and update her we have a phone line that'll reach us inside Bunker A (keeping details scarce, just say more Zone Fifty tech if questioned).
Going in together sounds like a valid option. The error room might still separate us, which would be rather strange, and would indicate some of the nature of the room.
