Caius begins to hum the song.

Slowly, the flickering, sometimes semi-transparent figure of a little girl begins to crawl out of the canister and into the containment room.

She flops out onto the floor, pulling herself away from the window before climbing to her feet. She looks at the three of you, one at a time, with wide eyes.

"'Ello," she says, somewhat nervously. "Are... are you more doctors? I... I don't rightly think you lot are supposed to be in here." She rubs at her eyes, trying to hide the fact that she's been crying.

Hello there, sweetheart. We aren't doctors, but we're here to help if we can. Why are you crying? ;v;* Maybe we can help with that.

Maybe tell her our names if it makes her feel more reassured?

We cannot hug the ghost child, but we must smile a smile at her so warm that it might as well be a hug.

We should tell her that we're the new people in charge of the bunker, after the old people in charge left. We want to help her, and we're trying to help Faraday too. Faraday is the one who taught us the song.

There's a lot we don't know right now, and we're trying to learn, so we hope she doesn't mind if we ask some questions and try to get to know her. And of course if she has questions, we'll do our best to answer those too.

We are an eldritch blood god. I refuse to believe we cannot hug a ghost. Maybe it's not appropriate to do now, but there must be some way to touch the ghosts on the level they exist at so we can hug them.

Is there's someone that can hug the un-huggable, it's Jane.

I approve of your musical selection wholeheartedly, and yes, we SHALL hug the unhuggable! Just maybe not now :P I was talking in an immediate sense. But yes, someday we shall hug the unhuggable, glomp the unglompable, and ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH!

You know, we SHOULD actually ask Mom's Red about this. We know xe knows about folding and spacial dimensions. I wonder if xe would know about sub- and cross-dimensions. Being able to see a ghost which isn't technically there means that it's crossing into our dimension without fully being there. I wonder if we can fold red in the same way and make ghost blood or phase through stuff.

Something to keep in mind in the future (ghost hugs: giving new ideas).

hello, sweetheart.

introduce everyone. tell her we're kind of the new owners of the place, i guess? we're not scientists, and we have no intention of experimenting on her. tell her that it's been a very, very long time, and the people who hurt faraday are long gone. we just want to help them.

Since our course is pretty well set, I'd like to go off on a bit of a tangent:
How do ghosts cry? Do they leak essence? Does it work like a hologram and the, "water," just disappears and reabsorbs back into the ghost when it falls? Kinda concerned that Tesla leaking... for lack of a better word, "fluids," might cause her form to deteriorate.

Also Jane better watch out. Tesla might be even cuter than her. X3

Ask her how long she's been in there. And maybe if she knows why she was.
Toricon 5th Apr 2018, 1:14 AM edit delete reply
Tell her that we're not doctors. We are friends, or at least, we would like to be. Is that all right?

Greet her, let her know there aren't any doctors here. Ask if she would like one. If she's ok with it, we could bring Finch.

If we mention Dr Finch reassure Telsa that he is a physician, and has already met Faraday. Also reassure Tesla that this meeting was just a couple days ago.

Letting Telsa know she had been in the container for over 100 years will be necessary too. This might make her distraught again.

Oh gosh, she is precious.

Hello, Tesla. We're not doctors, and we're not here to hurt you or experiment on you. You've been in that container for a very long time, and the doctors are all gone. We're here to help you. You, Edison, and Faraday.

Tell her we're not doctors, well one of us is a nurse and we have friend who is a doctor if you need one, but nevertheless we're here to help you and the other to yous.

Tell her our names, and ask why she's crying.

The doctors and the people who commanded them haven't been around for a long time.

She seems to have no visible issues from the decades-long forced captivity, whew. Glad she still likes the song, too.
