You consider breaking out of the box. It's fairly old, and you don't think it would be difficult; a crowbar or a power tool of some kind could probably do it, or just a swift kick from someone like Caius or Michelle.

However, you did decide today would be an easy day, and you don't know what lies outside. It may be a Zone 50 warehouse, and it may be staffed or protected somehow. For now, you investigate around the door itself. Near the door--especially behind it--you feel the same odd warmth or tingling sensation you got from the bunker door back home. It seems that they work on a similar principle.

This door, however, does not have a card reader. You suspect that when your main door is linked to Bunker B, this one likely leads nowhere--it just becomes an empty door frame. It does raise a weird question, though--if this is the normal, default entrance to Bunker B when no other doors are calling on it... where is Bunker B? You have no way to "deactivate" this door. Is it the real entrance? Is there a real entrance? What does the actual, physical outside of Bunker B look like?

Is this warehouse part of Bunker B?

You head back through the door, and go to find Fuse and the Proto-Juries. You ask them about the front entrance, and what lies outside it.

"THE STAFF OF ZONE FIFTY SITE SITE SITE SEVENTEEN ARE NOT P-PROGRAMMED TO EXIT VIA THAT DOOR," answers Infinity.

"THERE IS NO REAsON FOR THE STAFF OF ZONE FIFTY SITE SEVeNTEEN TO EXIT THE FACILITY," adds Trinity.

"So if there's stuff out there--past that door," Fuse comments, "you guys don't mind if we mess it up?"

"IT IS OF NO CONSeQUENCE TO THIS ONE," replies Trinity.

"WHAT LIES BEYOND THE DOOR IS OF NO CONCERN TO THE THE THE STAFF OF ZONE FIFTY SITE SEVENTEEN," repeats Infinity.

"SAME?," adds Unity, prompting a brief but slightly amused, slightly thrown off glance from Fuse.

You ask if the androids are even aware of what's out there.

"THE STAFF OF ZONE FIFTY SITE SEVENTEEN DO NOT P-POSSESS DATA ON THE SUBJECT," responds Infinity.

You fill Fuse in on what you saw, and mention your concerns--both about the location of the storage facility, and the location of this very bunker.

"Huh," Fuse finally replies. "Okay. So the door's in a box... and the box isn't part of this bunker. You guys don't know where we are, do you? Like, physical location."

"THE STAFF OF ZoNE FIFTY SITE SEVENTEEN DO NOT POSSESS DATA ON ThE SUBJECT," responds Trinity.

Fuse nods. "Has anyone else come through that door? Has anybody found this bunker besides us?"

"DO THE STAFF OF ZONEFIFTYSITESEVENTEEN POSSESS DATA ON THE SUBJECT?," asks Unity.

"ZONE FiFTY SITE SEVENTEEN HAS RECEIVED NO VISITORS OUTSIDE OF YOUr ASSOCIATION SINCE YOUR INItIAL ARRIVAL," replies Trinity.

Fuse nods again. "So at least there's that. Nobody in Bunker B cares about what's outside, and nobody outside's discovered Bunker B yet. I mean, aside from us."

Huh. Maybe we can discuss the physics of all of this with Finch later - given that it doesn't freak him out like that time with the neverending fall bunker.
In the meantime, ask Fuse what he thinks about the Proto-Jurys' status.

We voted to not bring Baby Red in here a while back because it was too cold. However, Baby Red could easilly detect where we were at any given location, from the portal room, to Mars. If they could, maybe they could make a little BABY Baby Red to act as a sort of GPS for us, and we could just merge the Superbaby Red back into Mom's Red.

That, or we could perhaps try and use our own blood to mimic the same effect that Baby Red was doing, using somebody under our thrall as a point of reference, and determining the distance and the direction between us.

Yeah, I think we should bring a portion of Red in here, it would be good to know where we are at geographically.

I agree, though we should probably ask red if they are able to create another mini here in the bunker, or if we're going to have to go back to our house

Fuse's bionic leg also would work for getting out of the box. combat grade and all that.

It might be more prudent to do a little recon before trying to break out. Make sure that there's nothing dangerous outside of the box.

I still think buying a fiber optic camera might be a good idea. That way someone can drill a small hole in the box and take a look outside. Later on, they can use the same camera to see what's on the other side of Bunker C's door.

I'd like to specifically vote that Fuse not be the one to break open the box. Old, dry wood + flame-generating booster motor + being surrounded on all sides by said old, dry wood = bad times.

Can the PJ's improve the GPS antenna on a burner phone and set it as a non-transmitting data logger that we leave in the box for an hour? It is a burner phone and they can have it after this.

I like the state of affairs here. Mutual ignorance of the world has advantages of safety. The illusion is currently real as long as the other door is undiscovered.

This also means we can move our bunker to a better location via moderately heavy equipment. While merely a novel concept at the moment this will likely need acted on before long.

You know, we really should set up the PJs with internet connection and an Amazon account. Even if they can't deliver to their bunker, they could deliver to ours, possibly work online to raise their funds to order stuff, and we could deliver to them, and in turn they help raise funds for the connected bunker complex as a whole. Get some symbiosis going on.

I want to hug the PJs so badly. Shame we need a reason (as if hugging a robot wasn't a reason by itself). :(

If we could get an audio-recorder and just place it in the box for the rest of the day, that'd be a nice way of determining if anyone enters the box-place or not (won't tell us if there are security cameras but at least that's a delayed-reaction thing).

If nothing else, we could head back and look into ways out of the city (just for research). On the same note we could see how much of the big list can be broken down into smaller pieces (is there an item(s) on there that'd last 10 years that can't be broken down into smaller chunks of a purchase?).
Otherwise we could look into the acquiring Geoangular Control a little more (if anyone else got any sudden bright ideas) or just chill until Michelle gets back. Maybe play/cuddle with Willard.

Add audio recordings to the modified for better GPS burner phone I mentioned above.

Yes, the "Big List" needs priority levels, maybe break it into a 1/5/10 year lists and then prioritize the rest.

Edit: alternately break it into "activate another PJ" and "maintenance"

THE ST-STAFF OF ZONE FIFTY SITE SEVENTEEN ARE NOT PROGRAMMED TO CONSUME THIS TY-TYPE OF MATTER.

Dunno if this is still a thing but back near the beginning didn't they find a tunnel or something under Howler's place? That might be a way to get out of the city for Zene and Crease and maybe Zene's Mom if we can save her.
