Fuse starts looking into Dr. Camp's family.

Michelle goes to check on Jury's progress.

Dr. Finch begins tinkering with your robot.

You send a raven toward the abandoned power station. The flight takes a while, as the power station is located fairly deep in the lower tiers. Your raven arrives, eventually. The place looks innocuous from the outside, though you note you can feel a very faint tingling on the raven's skin.

Michelle returns. "Well... it's a work in progress," she says with a shrug. "I mean, it's startin' to look like Jury again. The protos said Jury's way more complicated than they are, which don't really surprise me. Hope she don't come out with a speech impediment."

"I'm not finding anything on Dr. Deaglan Camp," Fuse states. "If he had anybody, the info on 'em's been scrubbed from the internet."

mmmm, radiation. bring the bird out, we don't want our little friend getting too badly irradiated. cancer's not fun and radiation poisoning is even less-so. tackling this place is going to be... interesting. it might be safer to forward the info we have on the mushroom fellow to the feds once jury is back up and running, if she even still has contacts she can trust. we know shaw definitely wasn't one of them, but there's hope that there might still be others. they would be more equipped to handle this place than we would, even with the money gesenai left us.

Poor Dr. Camp. ;_; We may have to bury him on Mars after all. Poor man. I wonder if Jury knew him?

The power station does look pretty bad. Should we maybe toss a blooded camera there instead of having an animal friend? ~_~? Still think it'd be good to scope out, but radiation is not good for our birb.

Or people too, I suppose. How resilient is Fuse against radiation, as a mutant? ._.

Among other things I was planning on asking Jury about Deaglan. If Jury turns out to have damaged memories from this incident, I'm totally suggesting we take her to Hug Town population: 2.

The complete lack of info about him is suspicious. Two possibilities come to mind:
- deliberate murder for some reason or other;
- everyone freaked out after the Mars red went haywire, locked his bunker, forgot about him; a few months later, someone realised the mistake, wrote the doctor off as dead without investigating a bit, then wiped the records just in case.

Not sure which is worse, really.

Might be able to enter if we could find protective gear.
Given the likelyhood of non-radioactive danger inside, the little Golem is a good candidate for going in first.

Although, maybe equip the little Golem with more equipment first?

A geiger counter and audio recording equipment would come in handy.

Plus, something to protect the electronics in the little golem from radiation.

Geiger counters don't work on all radiation sources, though. Do we know why the lower tiers are radioactive, btw ? Nuclear fallout or power plant waste ?

Quickly see if there's any other way in other than the front door. Go inside briefly and see if the tingling gets stronger, weaker, or stays consistent. Then regardless, get the raven out of there.

If there's a product to remove radiation particle contamination we should bring that raven back for cleansing. Also give it some berries and/or cereal grains.

Forget the speech impediment, I'm more worried tangling with Edison might've fried her memory or somethin'.
PurpleKetchup 5th Dec 2017, 3:57 PM edit delete reply
Talking about Edison, we need to stock up on red thread. Maybe safety needles, too (y'know, those that can't really stab much unless you have enough force to pierce it with anything anyway).
Blue_Elite 5th Dec 2017, 4:29 PM edit delete reply
One of the things I wanted to ask Jury was if the color of the thread determined what Edison does. Something like red = murder and white = make plushies or something.

That would be wonderful in the short term, although I'm not too sure about treating her like a trained pet... She can speak and feel, I hope something can be done about it.

Oof, radiation. Let’s move the raven to a nearby building if possible to look from a distance. We don’t want our bird friend growing 3 times the size with endless tumors.

In all honesty I think Dr. Deaglan should be cremated regardless of what we plan to do with his remains: the plant parts in his body taking root somewhere doesn't sound very fun.
