Morgenstern
You ask about that second possibility: if you die and your blood fails to 'latch on' to another subject, what happens to those with your blood? What about those with your blood AND Save the Queen?

"An interesting question," the mouth says. "Your blood could simply fall in line and act like human blood. Without someone to whisper secrets to it, it would begin to believe in its own masquerade. Nothing extraordinary would happen. Or... your blood could know its truth, but without a leash, without control, without a human definition of the rational. It would begin to act on its instincts. Without your guidance, the blood in contact with the fake equivalents would begin to wage an ancient war anew. It would not be satisfied with subduing Save the Queen... it would begin attempting to exterminate it with limitless prejudice. Or, I could be completely wrong. Your blood has tasted humanity, known what it is--even if briefly--to walk in your shape. Its behavior would be hard to predict if it were... uncaged, so to speak."

You ask your mom's red to clarify what it meant, way back, when it said it could fold itself to hide. Did it mean into another plane of existence, or--?

"Both, in a way. I can fold my mass into itself. A bit like pulling things from the red, but in reverse--swallowing my own body until what remained was subatomic. Prying myself back out would take a very, very long time, however."

You ask if there might be a way to communicate with Mom's red over a distance--you can normally perceive through things that have your blood, and send messages to them, but you can't seem to do that here.

"I am too much for your blood to take root in," speaks the red. "Though... if there is somewhere I could be that would make our discussions more convenient... tell me where. I may have an odd way around the issue."

Ask mom's red to elaborate a bit more on having an odd way around the issue. Also, I had a thought, if we converted our blood into a gas (like water to steam) would we have an influence on the gases around us, like oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc... since the evaporating blood would technically be "inside" those gases, can we ask either our red or moms red about this? This might be helpful since it would most likely act like a syringe when we control it, so, we could influence the air around an object making it move with possibly more control depending on the objects density, like how helium has a lower density than air and thus rises to the top of it, so, we could make the air around an object denser thus making it float...

Ok, yay, science tantrum... hehehe...heh........heh

I'm done now

Hmm, maybe we should get a tea kettle and some balloons and do some experimenting.

@Kitty

Balloons would be a good start so that the evaporated blood is still contained, we could try to vary the volume of the of the gas within and thus changing the size of the balloon

uhhhh... well... we recently came into possession of an abandoned zone fifty bunker...but what does it mean by "an odd way around the issue"? is it going to give us like... a tiny baby version of itself? there is the problem of us not knowing the exact geographic location of the bunker, i don't know if that would be a problem or not.

i guess just ask it to clarify what it means, and then go from there?

Given that our house is known and associated with us, yeah, it might be a good idea to have Mom's red go somewhere else. Is there a suitable location somewhere near our new base? An abandoned warehouse or something? We could actually try to give it the location of the base itself, since we managed to find GPS coordinates, but I'm not sure how it might interact with whatever dimensional weirdness is going on.

An odd way around the issue? XD;;; I'm so curious! So you mean... it could manifest in like... any location with this odd way? Huh. What if we had something like a pocket compact, could it manifest a tiny bit in there so we could put it in our pocket? Or does it need an entire room in something like a secret bunker? :P

And hmm... I guess it is hard to say, at the end of the day, what would happen if Jane died-died without actually, uh, dying-dying to see what happens. I guess my hope is that we'll never find out? XD;

Thanks for always dispensing all the useful info, Mom's Red. You're always so accommodating. *pats the... organ wall*

Transportation managers don't want you to know it:
Manifest anywhere with this one odd trick!

The obvious answer... put an entrance to Mom's Red in the trunk of one of our cars.
Kitty 2nd Oct 2017, 11:15 PM edit delete reply
That would make disposing of dead bodies *really* fun. *thwump slam CRUNCH*

Hmm... ever since we first met the speaking part of mom's red (#169), it had these two extra bright pixels at the bottom right.
Jane's 'red-mouth' didn't have them in #143.
Wonder if it's just a drawing issue or actually relevant in-world.
