You wander over and check the first aid kit mounted to the wall.

It's almost completely empty, save for some old bandages and some very expired eye wash.

You check the footlocker. Inside is a pile of old coveralls.

You hear Michelle messing with the laundry machine behind you, briefly starting it up. "I'm... kinda amazed this still works."

"Good thing, too," Caius replies. "These sheets are nasty as hell."

Awww Sheet. We're stuck with laundry duty.
... No wait.. that way we can hug the sheets as they come out! Hehehe maniacal plot 2.0!♪

I'm starting to think you have a problem. This hug addiction is getting way out of hand. ;p

If there's a dryer (do future laundry machines do both washing and drying, maybe?) then we get to hug freshly dried sheets when they're all warm~! I like this plan.

X3 the washing machine still works, that's pretty darn cool! That very expired eyewash made me laugh XD

We're going to have to do some spring cleaning here all together to make this place habitable again but gosh, this is looking promising :D I mean the power is working! Fuse and Dr. Finch, when you guys come over, go buy some cleaning tools on the way!

We can check out the other room(s)? :D

Take along the contents of the first aid kit, maybe we can use the expired eye wash to bother someone attacking us later.
Also, figure out if we can update the lock, now that we're in, to make it a bit... Safer. Seeing as we're going to be staying here, as long as there isn't a horrible abomination lurking in the other room/rooms, which we need to investigate.

Huh. Nice to know the place was built to last. Check the coveralls to see if anyone dropped something else in there by accident (that isn't, say, a packet of cookies that've gone ludicrously off) then throw the coveralls and the sheets in the wash. Don't turn it on yet, though. Best to wait on getting some (probably lemon-scented) detergent before we wash shit up proper and whatnot.

I'd say more, but rufi's got that covered. Have Fuse and the good doctor go shopping for cleaning supplies before heading down to base. Oh! And make sure to bring Jane's computer along as well. Don't want to accidentally leave it behind or anything silly like that, after all.

So... do we have internet in a space time bubble?
Skybirds15 29th Sep 2017, 3:39 AM edit delete reply
Well, might as well call Finch around, see if he can rub his face on the wall and absorb knowledge

that is how it works right
T41 29th Sep 2017, 4:53 AM edit delete reply
No, he has to get in the washing machine.

We definitely need to bring the rats in here. And get a few more of them too. Who needs an electronic surveillance system when organic, analog systems work so much better?

jotting down a mental to-do list as we wander about. basic cleaning, laundry, stocking the first aid kit (at least with newer bandages and antiseptic)… now we should go back out in the hall and check the other room. that’s probably were the rest of the ammenities are. i’m expecting at least some admin offices, a mess (both in the literal sense and in the sense that there should be a caffeteria or kitchen), restrooms, and a lounge. in the very least. also while we’re in the hall does it extend any further past the door to the bunks or the other door?

Ask Michelle if she has any knowledge about pipes in area like this, and try breaking open the pipe, it might have secrets, everything has secrets...

I'm sorry, I just don't trust those pipes

Let's maybe not break open any pipes if we don't know what they're for yet? :'D

Well, we never checked but I'm positive Carpenter's fleshbot came from the sewers under the hospital. If our pocket dimension connects to the city sewage, it could be a point of entry. If not... where does it go? :D

There's a possibility the bunker isn't even in the city at all.

There could even be a backdoor that comes out in another location entirely.
Kitty 29th Sep 2017, 3:36 PM edit delete reply
We should probably check out that crack in the wall, just make sure it's not compromising the structural integrity of our TARDIS bunker or anything. Last thing we need is for bits of spacetime to come leaking through the wall into our beds at night...
