Morgenstern
You take some headache medicine and sinus medicine, just in case. You put it in your first aid kit. You and Michelle start walking toward the Rockwell Arcade.

Along the way there, you start thinking about your blood's ability to imitate specific blood types--and to, at least at face value, pass itself off as drugs derived from blood cells.

You consider the way that your blood control works on people.

With objects, it's physical levitation... but with people, you're commanding their bodies to operate a certain way. Surely that involves transmitting signals to the brain somehow. Dr. Finch mentioned that your blood cells were acting like neurons.

Strong analgesics operate by intercepting pain impulses to the brain. Parapsychologists, spiritualists, and others operating in fringe or pseudoscience fields have pushed the idea that a person can mentally block their own pain impulses for decades, just through force of will. It sounds a bit silly, but... if you can force a person's body to walk or speak or act out certain gestures, it stands to reason that you could give more specific commands within the smaller functions of the body.

You still have lingering pain in your neck and back from when you fell down the vents.

You force your body to lessen the strength of its pain signals.

You have discovered how to numb pain.

The front door of the Rockwell Arcade is unlocked. You and Michelle walk in.

Convenient!

I suppose we should look around, maybe check between/behind the machines and behind the counter just to make sure nobody's waiting in ambush or anything... We need to figure out how to make a blood-powered drone of some sort, I think, to do that kind of surveillance for us, eventually.

Seems oddly deserted. Is it just that people aren't going out to arcades these days? Are we here before/after hours or something?

See, this is what I mean. Red can do a lot of stuff that just goes outside normalcy.
Jane teleported, dammit. Or at least melted & reformed elsewhere. Sure, it was traumatic, but it means normal physics can go suck it. Well, time shenanigans are probably still impossible. But spatial stuff isn't, think blood portals.

Healing through normal biological functions is for lesser beings. Red can just directly jump to the solution, whatever it is.
The only thing to keep in mind is not giving into powerful world-drinking urges if these ever pop up.

Anyway, the arcade looks empty. What time is it already ?
