"That's it? Everyone will die anyway? We can just delay the inevitable?

Dr. Finch was nearly ripped to shreds, screaming and terrified the entire time, by a monster designed to kill you.

Michelle was almost forced to strangle you with her bare hands.

They're not just going to die, it's going to be a hundred times worse because they were with you and it's going to hurt you because you cared about them. You're going to be used to torment each other until you're all dead. They're not just going to die, they're going to have their skin ripped off by something out of their nightmares, or they're going to be stabbed by their best friends or shot by their family members or

or whatever your blood does to them

because you don't know.

Do you?

You don't know what's happening inside them right now. You can sense through them, and control them. You don't know what else it does. You don't know what it's turning them into. It could be turning them inside out, you don't know.

You've poisoned them.

And you want to stay with them to watch them die. They're risking their lives to protect you while your toxicity soaks into their bodies. If the people closest to them aren't used to murder them, they'll live long enough to see what other tricks your blood can do."

...Wow. You're just... Ok, you know what, how about we ask the other Red, Mom's Red about what introducing your blood to them will eventually do. Seriously, this... sorta feels like it's trying too hard to scare you. It doesn't know because you don't know.

Hug. I command thee.

Also, that's a lot of empty whining. They risk dying while there's this weird overaching threat on your life. You plan to deal with that in the immediate future. Then they won't be at risk from that.
You also plan to keep them as safe as possible during that endeavour. You're a professional nurse after all.

Your blood... you can totally retrieve it from them once the Queen problem is over. You can change them back. Human flesh is trivial to manipulate. You know you'll be able to do it.

Now hug.

We all knew the risks

Michelle could have left after the hospital

Finch could have just hid somewhere in the hospital, and left after hearing that they were after us

Fuse knows the risks. He could have ignored us in the apartment and he wouldn't be risking anything other than random lower tier murder

We all know the risks, but we still take them

Now hug

Could they have "just left?" We have an unknown amount of control over them. It feels like we should acknowledge that, strictly speaking, anyone we've blooded, we can make do our bidding. Otherwise, our Red is probably gonna keep on reminding us that we don't know how much we're doing to them, or the price of what we've done.

The Red is turning the walls red! This place is fixin' to get real dang red,

When it comes to doing the right thing in the face of danger, "delaying the inevitable" is just another way to say "being alive."

These are some reasonable fears you're bring up, Red. We don't know anything about our powers, or the true nature of what we are as a human/star bloodlord hybrid. That's why we need your help. As our Red, you're in a position to help us learn how to understand and control who we are, more so than anything or anyone on this planet. We need you.

I don't think we've poisoned them. Some of our friends were poisoned with fake, pretender blood. That's infuriating. We do have an unfair amount of control over them right now, but we're devoted to letting them live their lives without us being their blood tyrant overlord.

Red, I don't expect you to be swayed by all this right now. But we need you, and the sooner we can come to an understanding, the better.
