Morgenstern
You wake up the following morning, and decide to start with some meditation. Like before, you focus on who you are, finding a center, and putting it all in perspective. You feel as though you're in much better shape, mentally and spiritually, than you were yesterday.

You head out to the lab, where everyone is having omelettes. You eat some breakfast and discuss what to do for the day.

"Hoo, where to start," Michelle chuckles. "We got... a list, at this point."

"We been talkin' about metal helmets," says Caius.

Fuse nods, somewhat begrudgingly. "Yeah, we're uh... we're thinking about lead helmets, maybe lined with aluminum foil. No idea if that would actually do anything against the Many--I'm still not... like, 100% convinced it did anything against Edison, and we're damn sure not sure if the Many's telepathy works the same way."

You could always just ask her.

"...Oh, yeah," Fuse mutters. "I keep forgetting that's an option now."

On the subject of the rather tight (or not?) time constraints--you bring up the idea of just... sending an ultimatum. Like, sending a letter to Carpenter, telling him you'll be there in maybe a week or so. That should give him incentive to wait, right?

Caius shrugs his shoulders. "Or incentive to tell us to stuff it."

Dr. Finch hmms a few times. "That is... a gamble. Carpenter does want us to bear witness to whatever madness he has planned... but he may also take exception to us dictating the terms. Hmm."

"If we end up pressed for time," Michelle says, "it's not like it could make things worse. If he'd end up blowin' us all up tomorrow anyway, no harm tryin' to see if we can goad him into puttin' it off."

Fuse nods. "Yeah. It's not a bad plan if we have to. Dude's such a nutjob, I don't wanna have to depend on it, though."

You elect to go talk to Edison. You need to ask about a few things, you imagine--how effective the tinfoil hats actually were could definitely make the list.

You head over to Bunker E.

When you arrive, Tesla and Faraday are trying to help Edison learn how to reel in the shocking, paralyzing aspects of her touch--mostly in the hope of getting to pet a cat someday.

Greet the ghost girls, and ask how it's going. Tell Edison we actually have some questions for her, but those can wait if they're busy or want something else first.
Also, tell her petting cats is definitely worth it.

Add to this Kumondo's idea of allowing her to test her progress thus far on us, and you have my vote.

Before anything else, I have to say I am shocked to see Elizabeth in sweatpants! Digging the new outfits overall. Stylish, yet casual.

I like their priorities. Kitties!

Let's NOT give them a Blood kitty...

Don't we have a blooded cat somewhere? Let's bring it in for the ghost girls.
Tych 8th Jan 2019, 8:34 AM edit delete reply
I think we have 3 of them

Blooded kitty, on the other hand, sounds perfect. =) Speaking of: What are all our pets up to, and what are they observing?

I missed a batch of pages and have been meaning to make time to catch up but I believe this is where all our current animals were last mentioned (we haven't been using them much):
Willard (rat): Bunker A/Church (P792) (I know he's back at Bunker A but my last note of him being mentioned is the church)
Edgar (raven): Site 1's last address (P1065)
Allen (raven): Rockwell Arcade (P1106)
Poe (raven): Cam's hospital where the hummer was parked (P994)
All three cats: Caught Ilworth rats (P932)
Caesar (pidgeon): Carpenter's Base/Bunker(?) (P1116)
Pac-Man, Inky, Blinky, Pinky (Ilworth rats): Thale's tunnels (P946)

Perhaps we should let Edison out while we talk to her? We're here to supwrvise... We can go on a walk wherever she'd like while we talk...even outside the bunker, maybe.

Teaching the girls to change their appearance like Red can should be fairly quick. Let's do that and then ask Edison about walking through walls, disappearing and flying.

So, after a good solid greeting and general inquiry as tot how the girls are doing, I believe everything we want to talk to the specter sisters is: imagination dress-up as an exercise in individuality and imprint abilities, insight as to what imprints can and can't do, whether or not tin foil hats can actually do anything to stop their powers, and specifically for Edison, her thoughts on imprint and psychic combat. All of this in whatever order flows naturally. Let me know if I missed anything.

On the topic of letting Edison out, I see no reason why not. I think we can definitely offer our selves as a bit of a guinea pig to let Edison test her progress in not being shocking.

I am NOT for telling Carpenter we're coming for him in a week or whatever, but if I end up getting out-voted, we shouldn't pose it as a direct letter. Maybe a billboard telling residents that some kind of testing is going around carpenter's base in a weeks time, so they should evacuate. It would get people out of the way, and carpenter would realize we're planning something on that date, and would presumably think us stupid for "accidently" letting him know our plans.

This sounds better to me. We get him on our schedule while thinking that it was his own idea.
