You start maneuvering your bug around Hope's church, planting blood "eggs" at key points.

You also continue to practice with your meat walls--pulling them back into the red, taking them apart, reconstituting them to blood, then reforming them faster. It takes numerous attempts, but you get pretty good at it.

You also practice forming meat walls around Lumpy--or rather, something more akin to a meat cage, shaping walls around him using blood he spilled during the armor ritual. It... also takes a few tries, and the first couple aren't pretty, but you eventually get to where you can do it confidently.

In addition, after a lengthy period Lumpy's grotesque bone armor just sort of... slinks back into itself. His body shape returns to normal (for a large meat golem, anyway), the excessive bones and jagged spikes disappearing into his body. It seems like, as horrifying as that ritual is, its effects are only temporary.

While you're focused on working with blood out in the cold, you make an attempt to cast the bone armor ritual through a meat wall. You pigment on the arcane symbols, you give the wall a makeshift mouth, you have it speak the incantation, and...

the wall is absolutely shredded by random bones growing erratically through its mass. You're... glad you tried that one outside the bunker.

It seems the ritual doesn't work so well if the performer isn't shaped in a vaguely human way.

So noted! New plan to kill the monster, force it to cast the super bone armor ritual.

I think we're about as ready as we're going to get. When everything inevitably goes all to hell, we have enough resources to hopefully come up with something good.

What time exactly is it?
Can we have a quick nap before going?
Alternatively we use our coffeeability x3 so that all of us are hyperalert.

I don't think anyone's gonna get any sleep right now, but using caffeine on anyone who's getting tired (only 1x we don't want them to die from a heart attack or something) would be a good idea.

So there are a few things we can still do:
Share our bone ritual information with the group.
Eavesdrop on Hope and his friends, hoping one or more of them will start monologuing and let slip a few relevant details. Or at least see if they actually plan to stand there all day and all night.
Search for the electricity source for the vents. There's a vent near Grizwald; if we can render the vents safe to use, we can expand the opening (by smashing it or something) until it's Griz-sized, and he can beat a quick escape that way. Possibly with all the ruckus obscured behind a meat wall so the enemy can't see what's happening until he's long gone.
Have Elizabeth or Finch petition the Tradesmen with a few questions (What exactly do the new bullets-- radioactive and Super Armor Piercing-- do? Is it okay to ask questions through a golem next time we cast this ritual? "Yes or no: do Thale and his allies have any measures protecting the church that we don't know about?")
Have Fuse try out the brain gadget we got from trading the translation books.
Clean up the bloody messes we made outside.
Have we eaten lunch/dinner yet? And fed the Mars family lunch/dinner?
We can't dye Jane's hair brunette anymore... Does that include black? If we can't dye it black, then maybe... ginger. Or a different shade of blonde. Or even blue or purple or something, since anime-color hair seems to be a fairly commonplace thing in this world.

Hmm Mom red's thoughts on this? If Anyone has anything to add now's the time. Also, after escaping with Grizwald (check him for trackers/thale bombs as first priority) what is our exit strategy? Best to work that out now to dodge: queened people, cops, priests*, the media, more Thales, etc. leaning towards going roundabout to Jane's house or the abandoned school for safety or obscurity and watch out for the tunnels, there's likely more beasts therein.

Anybody else notice a resemblence between the cactus on 885 and the Elvis lookalike computer? Think there might be a relationship?

And now that I think about it...
What would happen if Fake-Blood was exchanged in the Ritual? The person who does the exchange would get Real-Blood?

In all the time we were using our Powers, we lose a lot of Blood in a lot of places. And probably, all the others Reds in the history of the universe lost tiny bits of them in their long lifes.
Maybe the Tradesmen collected some of this Blood, and it can be traded in the ritual?

Maybe the v1 bone spell would work better on the meat wall.

Alternately, what if you made a bunch of meat-balls, each with the spell and a mouth and threw them at the enemy like a grenade? Could be fun.

I fail to see how making a meatball cast a ritual is in any way superior to the bone fragment bombs we can make.

I imagine the regular bone armor spell would have similarly undesirable results on the wall just... Less explosively messy. Would provably still undermine structural integrity.

Let's try out one last thing: Ablaze recommended using the safer bone armor spell on the meatwall to see what happens, but definitely still do it outside the bunker though

After that, I think we're set to travel to the church

Ah, maybe we can help Fuse to warm up with his power before going. You know, incinerating some meat golems to practice a bit his precisiĆ³n before going were he is going to need it.
I noticed that we never really practice with his fire. If we want him to control it in the future, practicing is the first step XD.

I agree that Fuse's potential is criminally underexplored - it's pretty clear he has more abilities than he gives himself credit for. Might not have time to really get into that before the break in though.

Nop, we don't have time.
But in the same way we are doing warm-ups creating and de-creating walls before going into Action, I think everyone else must also do their own things. And having Fuse warm-up incinerating things with his mind is a decent idea XD.
