Morgenstern
You listen attentively through your bug to see if the guards say anything to each other. They make small talk, and briefly greet each other, but the time they spend not patrolling is kept to a minimum.

You wait until the hall is clear before you move your bug up the wall and across the ceiling, toward the open door on the left.

Your rat finds a way into the tunnels, and begins to follow those tunnels toward Hope's church.

Don't suppose we can try for a chance to read those papers on the right-hand wall?

They're probably just tracts.
Besides, it's too risky to backtrack with those guards around.
Gigafreak 15th May 2018, 1:48 AM edit delete reply
Backtrack? That's the room ahead of us. We followed the left guard in.
Blue_Elite 15th May 2018, 2:08 AM edit delete reply
Those gold rectangles look like pictures. If we can hide behind the small one, wait until there's no guard looking in the immediate area and then go under the double-brown glass doors first.
Otherwise hang out above the door frame until a guard passes and then make a go for the double-brown doors.
Most importantly take our time. We are way ahead of schedule and can take a while to learn the patrol pattern if needed (probably will need to know when we infiltrate as humans anyway).

The guards are lab meat, for sure. Odd.

Why would this be odd?
PurpleKetchup 15th May 2018, 12:46 PM edit delete reply
They don't look as bulky as our teammates, though.

I think the stairs in the first 2 frames on the right are more interesting than the either set of double doors.

We could consider hiding under or in the table and making a new bug so we can hide and start from here instead of backtracking after exploring through the double doors.

I second that XD.

Actually, it may be quicker and easier to make an "egg" of sorts that contains enough that we can percieve and portal more mass in if needed. It will be easier to hide too.

Again, under or in the table so we can remain hidden, have space to develop our new golem, and dirt to roll around in as a disguise.
ReikoLupus 15th May 2018, 1:19 PM edit delete reply

And if it becomes necessary, we can transform all the "Eggs" we put in the place into proper big Golems at any time.
I think it's a good idea to start placing "Eggs" in every important place we go XD.

Let's stay here still and listen.
And, I was hoping to ask the Tradesmen if Jane Doe is our real name.

"We will not answer a question you already know the answer to." - The Tradesmen, probably.
Funny Joke 15th May 2018, 9:35 AM edit delete reply
But we don't know the answer! Remember how Jury reacted when we said that code? Maybe our real name could spark something like that.

Enjoy the ambiguous nature of the emails.

Note:

this is the hospital that she worked at prior to page 1
Dr Finch knows her real name from prior to these events and has never alluded a different name
There is only one reason to be called "Jane Doe" other than it is her real name and that is because someone could not accept something bad happening to someone they knew, which is highly unprofessional.

The bottom says
"She apparently does have a 'real name'. Morgenstern has said readers will be mad when he reveals it."

Her real name is Jane Dough, you see.

"Your real name is wombface redson. It's a bit of a strange name now that you think about it but no one has ever given you shit over it."

Maybe her real first name is eggy?(or shelly?) That'd be cute in a way.
1977 15th May 2018, 11:25 AM edit delete reply
Jane Doe isn't the real name.
Everyone knows her real name except the readers.
Look in the Wiki in the entry for Jane Doe under Trivia.

That's what I'm saying! Let's ask the Tradesman!
Dooth 15th May 2018, 2:33 PM edit delete reply
Asking them this would be a waste of time and energy.
Sekwel 15th May 2018, 11:50 AM edit delete reply
What I'm gathering from this is that we should be ready for a fight, whenever we go in.

Might not hurt to try and look through the doors, if we can.

Hmm... since we don't really know where they keep Grizwald, this is going to be hard.

Maybe it's better to use this mini-creature as a remote point and make it grow, then plant eyes in hard to spot areas so we have as much surveillance in there as possible.
Surely they'll drag Grizwald down a corridor at one point...
