You motion to Michelle, who charges ahead and kicks the next door in. You also sync everyone with Michelle for accuracy's sake.
The monster focuses enough on whipping Caius that it slows down for a moment, long enough for Fuse to light it up. The creature gnashes its teeth harder as it bursts into flames, lashing out again... but this time hooking the edges of its bone on Caius's armor.
Caius stands his ground, grabbing onto the spiny limb for leverage--and cutting his palms in the process of trying to win the tug o' war. The creature spears its other limb into the ceiling to anchor it while it tries to reel Caius in.
"S'a pretty strong bastard for not havin' any muscles!," Caius yells. You can see his feet sliding across the floor--just barely, very slowly, but the creature is steadily outmuscling him. You could all make a break for the doors--you and Michelle going forward, Fuse and Caius going backward--if it weren't for Caius being firmly hooked.
Michelle turns and spins her gun back up. With the monster hanging from the ceiling, it's pretty well stuck in place. The creature lifts its tail from the floor.
Michelle opens up, firing a hail of bullets. Aiming upward, she doesn't risk hitting an ally or one of the acid-filled meat walls.
The monster spins its tail... rapidly. Like a giant fan. A couple of rounds make it through and penetrate the monster's torso, but others are bounced off, ricocheting and hitting the walls. A few of the shots whizz by you and the others, and a few other bullets hit dangerously close to the walls.
"Holy shit," Fuse exclaims.
"Are you for real right now?!," yells Michelle. "Its bones are bulletproof, and it's fast enough to do THAT."
"And," Caius yells back, still struggling to keep himself from being pulled to the thing, "it's strong enough that I ain't ripped it outta tha damn ceiling and wrecked its face yet!"
Amidst all this, the thing is still burning. Slowly, but burning nonetheless.
Wait, this is BLOOD! Not acid, not goop, but BLOOD. We can work with this!
If we shot a syringe at just the right moment, we could release Caius on his own free will, and have a powerful (albeit temporary) tool at our disposal afterwards!
Looking back to page 954 where we tried out the gun for the first time, plugging it in to Jane’s arm balanced and made the gun less awkward feeling, but it definitely mentioned squeezing a trigger when firing the dart!
I'd say just have Fuse help Caius as Caius is just barely losing, but then there's still the matter of the meat/acid walls. Really need to make Mr. Whippit die faster.
Have Jane just fire the pistol at it. Individual bullets will result in less collateral damage and still distract its tail. If Fuse can make the thing more on fire, that'd be ideal as well (he can put out flames, can he... intensify them?).
